Motivation For Improved Mind & Body Wellness
My name is Maria and I am passionate about helping others and about daily health & wellness. I am a wellness enthusiast and also a published author. I advocate for making daily healthy food & life choices a simple process in everyday living. By sharing my own personal successes, set backs, and experiences I can help others because I can relate to how people struggle making healthy daily & life choices.
Maria's Daily Health Journey started with the simple idea of combining my passion to help others with my desire for health & wellness. I am on a mission to provide fresh, nutritious meal menus, recipes, and motivational movement tips to busy families/individuals who want to eat well and live healthier lives, but don't have the time or energy to spend hours in the kitchen or working out. With the help of Maria's Daily Healthy Journey motivational menus, recipes, and tips, even the busiest people on the tightest schedules can make healthier food, movement and mind-wellness choices with minimal time spent in the kitchen or at the gym.

My 30 day philosophy is an easy to follow plan full of ideas and suggestions to help achieve improved mind & body wellness. In the grand scheme of things, 30 days is a relatively shorth amount of time, but a long enough amount of time to build up progressive positive changes that you can notice.
This is achieved by 30 days of meal planning, meal prepping, mindful movement & self-care.
Starting with small changes to help create impactful improvements that can be seen and experienced in 30 days or less. I have made it simple to implement the changes with little effort by the use of my templates.
My suggestions help implement the small changes that bring about time saving routines to the necessary daily activities of life that make shopping, meal planning, mindful movement and self-care much more impactful within any lifestyle.
By using the suggestions to create a mindful and purposeful routine, you will find that you will have engrained some of what you have implemented into muscle memory. This will automatically become a healthy habit before you realize it and you will be able to continue to make healthy food, movement or mind choices.
My 30 day philosophy is flexible so if you have an unexpected life event impact your focus you can easily adjust to whatever shift you need to make.
The overall goal is after 30 days of noticeable improvement in overall mind & body wellness, the methods become a part of a balanced lifestyle.
After the first 30 days wash, rinse & repeat! It really is that simple. It really is that easy!

All of these may sound small, but small wins collectively become BIG WINS! Celebrate those small wins! Celebrating does not have to be over the top, but acknowledge those small wins and allow yourself to completely feel the sense of control over your mind & body wellness you have reclaimed for yourself!
The benefit of Maria's 30 Day Philosophy helps to lessen the feelings of being burdened with daily stresses. It helps to regain the ability to allow yourself free time. Free time to do what brings you joy.
HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY BLOG ON MY OVERALL VIEW OF EATING HEALTHY AND EXERCISE. MANY ASK, “WHERE DO WE DRAW THE LINE BETWEEN HEALTH AND INDULGENCE AND, WHERE DOES THE FOOD & EXERCISE CONNECTION COME IN?? WELL, TODAY I WILL DISCUSS MY VIEW OF BOTH AND HOPEFULLY ANSWER BOTH OF THOSE QUESTIONS,
FIRST, LET’S TALK EXERCISE. I FEEL IF YOU HAVE THE RESOURCES AND THE CAPABILITY, ONE SHOULD DEVELOP AN EXERCISE PLAN.FIND WHAT INTERESTS YOU. THE REASON BEING, THE MORE YOU LIKE THE EXERCISE YOU CHOOSE, THE MORE ENGAGED YOU WILL LIKELY TO BE.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO DEVELOP AN EXERCISE PLAN; ONE MUST ACTIVATE IT!
IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING IN GOOD HEALTH , MODERATE EXERCISE IS SUGGESTED.
AS COVERT BAILEY SAYS, “ IF EXERCISE WERE A PILL, IT WOULD BE THE MOST WIDELY PRESCRIBED MEDICINE IN THE WORLD.”
EXERCISE IS GOOD FOR YOUR OVERALL HEALTH. IMPROVEMENT IN AREAS SUCH AS HEART, LUNGS, BLOOD PRESSURE, AND MUCH NEEDED REGULATION OF YOUR BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS AND METABOLISM. FURTHERMORE, IT WILL HELP YOU FEEL GOOD AND FEEL BETTER ABOUT YOURSELF.
BECAUSE YOU ARE FEELING SO GREAT, YOU WILL ALSO FEEL INSPIRED- INSTANT THERAPY!!
AS A SIDE NOTE, BE CAREFUL NOT TO OVERDO EXERCISE. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER. AS ALWAYS, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE STARTING ANY NEW EXERCISE ROUTINE. FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR’S ADVICE FOR YOUR PERSONAL LIMITATIONS OR GUIDELINES. TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING IS NOT A GOOD THING, REMEMBER TO STAY HYDRATED THROUGHOUT YOUR WORKOUT; HYDRATION IS A VITAL KEY TO ANY GOOD HEALTH HABIT.
HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT WORKS FOR ME: I EXERCISE 3 TIMES PER WEEK, OR 3 HOURS PER WEEK ; THAT WORKS FOR ME, BUT YOU DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
THIS MAY NOT WORK FOR YOU- DO WHAT YOU LIKE AND WHAT IS PRACTICAL FOR YOU—
I RECOMMEND EATING A PRE-WORKOUT SNACK AND ALSO A POST-WORKOUT RECOVERY SNACK AS WELL .

BANANA WITH PEANUT BUTTER
RICE CAKES WITH HUMMUS OR LOW-FAT CHEESE
HARD – BOILED EGG AND TOMATO SLICES
FOR ME, I LEARNED GOOD HEALTH HABITS THROUGH YOGA AND MEDITATION. I ENJOY BOTH OF THESE AND PRACTICE THEM ON A REGULAR BASIS. I ALSO READ A LOT OF BOOKS ON THE HEALING PRINCIPLES YOGA BRINGS. THESE KEEP ME MOTIVATED, ENGAGED AND FOREVER LEARNING!
WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN THAT?
NOW I’D LIKE TO ADDRESS SOME COMMON MYTHS OR MISCONCEPTIONS.
THE MOST COMMON ONE IS THAT YOU CAN EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT AS LONG AS YOU EXERCISE; THIS IS A FALSEHOOD. IT IS HARD TO BURN MORE THAN YOU NEED FOR A HEALTHY DIET. YOU SIMPLY CANNOT EXERCISE YOUR WAY OUT OF AN UNHEALTHY DIET.
IF YOU ARE ALREADY EATING HEALTHY, STAY THE COURSE & REMEMBER, MODERATION IS KEY! DO NOT DEPRIVE YOURSELF, BUT DO BE MINDFUL OF PROPORTIONS AND INGREDIENTS.
ANOTHER FALLACY IS CARBOHYDRATES MAKE YOU FAT. RATHER, TOO MUCH OF ONE FOOD GROUP, AT THE EXPENSE OF ANOTHER, IS WHAT MAY SABOTAGE YOUR HEALTH GOALS; MAKE SURE TO HAVE PROTEIN, FATS, CARBOHYDRATES (ALSO KNOWN AS MACRONUTRIENTS) THIS INCLUDES FRUITS, VEGGIES AND WHOLE GRAINS. HUNGRY NOW? KEEP READING FOR A YUMMY RECIPE I WOULD RECOMMEND.

· THIS MONTH MY GOAL IS TO ACTIVELY JOURNAL ON A DAILY BASIS. I CHOOSE TO GET THOSE THOUGHTS DOWN ON PAPER; YOU MAY CHOOSE TO SKIP
THIS AND GO STRAIGHT TO GOAL#2. IT’S A PREFERENCE – A CHOICE- AND IT’S A BEAUTIFUL ONE!
· MY SECOND GOAL THS MONTH IS TO MASTER A NEW YOGA POSITION.
MY MOTIVATION IS TO EDUCATE MYSELF AND EXCEL IN ONE PARRICULAR POSE; I THINK I WILL CHOOSE PRAYER POSE; HOW APPROPRIATE! WE ARE STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT (EXCUSE THE PUN!)

SELFCARE IS REALLY ANY CARE YOU SHOW YOURSELF THAT ALLOWS YOU TO BE AT PEACE, STOPS YOU FROM BEING CRITICAL OF YOURSELF AND ENCOURAGES YOU TO BECOME MORE AWARE OF WHAT IT IS YOU ENJOY IN LIFE.

IT MAY EVEN OPEN UP SOME CRAFTING IDEAS OR INSPIRE YOU TO START A HOBBY YOU HAVE WANTED TO DO BUT HAVE PUT OFF TAKING THE TIME TO START…TAKE THE TIME!
WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU WILL DISCOVER ???
